Visit the "Bad Breath Doctor" at the Center for Breath Treatment, Bad Breath/Halitosis Clinic

Until recently, most treatments have been generally unsuccessful in resolving bad breath conditions. Common treatments such as mouthwashes, mints, chewing gums, mouth sprays, tonsillectomies, and intestinal cleansings otherwise known as colonics, are simply inadequate, and generally don't really address the underlying issues causing halitosis or bad breath.

There are many websites offering 'magic' breath products, but at the Center for Breath Treatment clinic we have found most of these to be ineffective. An accurate diagnosis allows one to understand the causes of a breath condition, and this is fundamental to obtaining effective treatment. Simply using a mouth rinse is generally not going to solve a halitosis condition. The only way to achieve an accurate diagnosis and fully understand the specific causes of a chronic halitosis condition is to be examined and tested in our specialized bad breath clinic. Any other method will merely be guesswork or assumptions. In addition, patients that are seen for treatment in our clinic may receive, when appropriate, prescription medications tailored to their needs. These types of medications are not available through our web site or through our Home Treatment programs because they are restricted by law.

Most patients we see in our breath clinic have had their halitosis problem, on average, for 15-20 years prior to seeing us. The reason for this is that for years they have been experimenting with products they have found in the stores and online without ever knowing what the true causes of their halitosis are. Most of these products people are using for their halitosis conditions do not do what the manufacturers claim they will do. Many patients we see have also sought treatment with numerous physicians and dentists prior to seeing us but the problem has been that very few doctors have much experience in the diagnosis and treatment of halitosis. As a consequence, a lot of expensive and needless procedures and tests are performed in an attempt to find the causes of their patients' halitosis conditions.

At the Center for Breath Treatment's halitosis clinic, we feel that the treatment of halitosis should be no different than the treatment of any other health condition. An accurate diagnosis must be determined first in order to know what treatments will be effective. If treatment is not done in this manner then poor results will often follow. Every patient seen in our clinic undergoes a thorough diagnostic set of procedures at their initial appointment at our specialized bad breath clinic. At the end of that appointment we will fully understand the specific causes of their condition. Over the years we have found there are always multiple causes to a person's halitosis. For this reason, it takes a combination approach to effectively treat each case. Once all of the data is gathered and we have formulated a complete diagnosis at the initial appointment, the bad breath doctor will discuss with the patient what the specific causes are to their condition. Often times we may find there are things they are doing to themselves that are actually contributing to their bad breath problem. Once we understand these causative factors we will then direct treatment towards the specific causes we have found. Because we approach the problem in this scientific manner we continue to have excellent results when it comes to eliminating this condition for our patients.

If you have dental insurance we will assist you in getting reimbursement from your dental insurance company for treatment in our halitosis clinic.

As part of the diagnostic process every patient undergoes an in-depth interview with Dr. Anthony Dailley, followed by a thorough examination, any necessary x-rays, an analysis of the patient's breath and sinus gasses. Often times an analysis of the saliva and of the salivary flow is performed in our office.

If it is not feasible for you to see us in person then the next best way to treat your halitosis condition would be to follow our home treatment program. As we stated before, because there are always multiple causes to a halitosis condition it generally requires a combination approach to treating it. The comprehensive bad breath treatment kits we offer are the best approach to take if one can't come to our clinic because they will address many of the common causative factors that produce a bad breath condition. To better assist you in resolving your breath problem Dr. Dailley or a member of his staff would be happy to provide a free consultation over the phone to help you in determining which bad breath products or programs would be most appropriate for your needs. Please understand that it is impossible to provide an accurate diagnosis of the causes of a person's halitosis condition without physically seeing them, and we cannot make available all of the medications that we use in our halitosis clinic.

The most effective method of treatment for halitosis is available in our halitosis clinic.
